Geographic Coordinate System – NAD83 (HARN)

NAD83 (HARN) is named for the earth model that it’s referenced to, a version of the North American Datum of 1983 built on modern surveys called High Accuracy Reference Networks. Other more or less correct names for the standard are “NAD83 (HPGN/HARN)” and “NAD 83/91”. We run into it frequently in our work because it’s the GCS that Wisconsin’s official coordinate system is built on.
